Bakumatsu Shishi No Renai Jijou (mobile otome game) Review - Okita route

Hi people!
Classes are almost over and I'm gonna have to start on my final lab report by tomorrow...

Anyways.
I finished the Bakumatsu Renai Jijou (Bakuren for short) game's Okita Souji route yesterday.
Yeah, I liked it. I liked it pretty much.
But if you want something as grand-scaled as Hakuouki or Tsuyaga~ru, you'll be let down.

Each guy has three endings:
1. Hana (flower) - considered the best, though some people like Tsuki better
2. Tsuki (moon)
3. Kaze (wind) - most tragic

I only looked at the Hana end because I DON'T WANNA CRY MY EYES OUT LIKE I DID IN TSUYAGA~RU AND HAKUOUKI and also because in the Tsuki end I heard Okita and the main character move to the US to cure his disease. NVM, I wanna live in Japan.

So... In the Hana end, Okita decides to go to the future with the main character. He had once given up on any future because of his disease, but he decides he does not want to give into fate that easily.

Good points:
 - beautiful artwork
 - beautiful words
 - I liked all the events except for the puppy incident (too lazy to explain that). They really make your heart beat faster lol
 - nice voice acting (guess who plays Takasugi? MORITA MASAKAZU i.e. Ichigo's seiyuu from Bleach YAY)
 - I'm quite satisfied with all the character designs except for Izou-kun (he's an ASSASSIN, hello? not a wrestler). But the others are really nice. Okita-san looks a bit like a mix of Peacemaker Kurogane's Okita-san and Haku from Spirited Away. Hijikata was friggin' sexy. Seriously he's sooooooo hot. Sakamoto Ryoma's cute too, I like his smile. I also liked Takechi-sensei; he reminds me of Byakuya from Bleach. Katsura's not bad either. Nakaoka looks like Heisuke from Hakuouki.

Bad points:
 - too short (this may be because Okita and Hijikata only have 12 chapters while the other characters have 15)
 - I don't have anything against pets, I like cute animals. But PLZ don't put them in otome games will you, authors? It just makes that part of the story boring and silly.
 - same bad point as Urakata Hakuouki: too little history mixed in with the story.
 - needed more character development: Okita's Hana end was quite similar to Tsuyaga~ru's Tsuki end, but Tsuyaga~ru made more sense because it actually shows how (in his head/heart/whatever) Okita makes that final decision to go to the future. In Bakuren, his leaving the Shinsengumi was way too sudden.

Well, now the only game I have for now is Ikemen Bakumatsu haha

Tsuyaga~ru (tsuyagaru) (艶が~る), a mobile otome game

Okay. So this is a mobile otome game...
SET IN THE BAKUMATSU PERIOD!!!

I've been SOOOO busy with school that the only comfort I get these days is playing mobile games while eating my meals and also during boring classes. End of semester sh*t.

And I'm sooooo sorry for not being able to upload the lyrics for OUTSIDER, I haven't even got the chance to listen to the CD because I can't find my external CD drive. I probably won't be able to until... I don't know. In one week or two weeks, depends on my schedule since I do have finals coming up.

But I just HAD to upload this post because I just finished the most wonderful heartrending romantic moving beautiful otome game ever. Gosh, I never knew that I'd find a game that I like as much as Hakuouki, let alone a MOBILE game.

So here's the thing. I've been downloading all the otome games set in the Bakumatsu period to my iPhone (except one of them that portrays Sakamoto Ryouma as an old ojisan and draws Okita way too girly).

I'm still playing "Ikemen Bakumatsu ~ Unmei no Koi" and "Bakumatsu Renai Jijou".
And needless to say, I am going for Okita-san in all of these games.

So...
"Tsuyaga~ru" is the first game I finished up. These are the guys you can go after:
  • Hijikata Toshizou
  • Okita Souji
  • Yuuki Shouta (this is the guy who accidentally time slips with you to the past)
  • Tokugawa Keiki
  • Aiya Akinari (this is the owner of the sake shop where you work as an entertainer)
  • Takasugi Shinsaku
  • Sakamoto Ryouma
  • Furutaka Shuntarou
Each guy has five endings: Yui (bonding), Tsuki (moon), Mizu (water), Hana (flower), Kagami (mirror). Kagami is the most tragic, while Yui and Tsuki are the happiest ones in general.
* To get to the Tsuki end, you need a special item (in Okita's case, it's a special medicine) that can be obtained from a random Oiran Bingo. I had to turn the bingo 18 times... Phew. That cost me $50. At least the game's free.
* To get to the Yui end, you need to have reached all four other ends.

NOW. Allow me to spoil you. *SPOILERS*

Okay. So basically you were on a school trip to Kyoto and were in a museum(?) where you found a weird camera. You and your childhood friend, Shota, were sent to the Bakumatsu period due to this camera.

Okita's character in the game:
  • THIS IS SERIOUSLY the PUREST guy I've EVER, EEEEVER seen. He seriously seems to be a mix of Minamoto no Yoshitsune from GENROH and the Hakuouki version of Okita-san.
  • He's still the troublemaker that annoys Hijikata, although they hate each other less than in Hakuouki (LOL)
  • He's such a kid. He likes to play.. and he teases you. He's also slightly lazy. Like Hakuouki's Okita.
  • He sometimes blushes like Hakuouki's Saitou-san. OMG so cuTE
  • SOOOOOOOOOOOO gentle... almost like Kenshin. Let me just say that this Okita is Hakuouki's Okita without the sadisticness.
  • AAAAAAAAARGH he manages to be so friggin' romantic without even MEANING TO
  • BEWARE. He will make you cry at least 20 times a day.
Now for the endings:
  • Kagami: On the verge of death by tuberculosis, Souji tells you that you were the love of his life and sends you back to the present with the camera. And the way these Japanese writers wrote it, you seriously cry your eyes out and you feel like your heart is being ripped apart. I'm in LOVE with this guy. This boy I hallucinate about once I return to the present... This boy whose face I barely remember as if it is from a dream... Playing with children on the streets of Kyoto... Let me tell you something. As soon as I saw this ending, I could NOT bear it and immediately paid 500yen so that I can get to another ending (you can only read one chapter a day for free).
  • Hana: Shota finds the camera and brings it, but I stay with Souji until the end while Shota returns to the present by himself. Souji dies and I cry. I cry until I can't anymore (like, for real). Then I shoot the camera at myself and return to the present. The present is still at that moment when I was sent to the past... And then I see a group of boys from another school's trip..... One of them looks seriously like Souji, and then his friend calls him "Hey, Okita!" and as if drawn by the strings of fate you walk up to him... And you drop the gift that he made for you, one and a half centuries ago. He tells you 'you dropped sth!' and then, since your school's group has already walked far ahead, he says "I'll walk with you to over there. (^_^)" and you can't help STARING at his BEAUTIFUL face... He spoke those words to you, the very same words, back when you first met him in the past. And then he tells you... "for some reason, I feel like I've been searching for you all this time..."
  • Mizu: Shota finds the camera and brings it to you but you have decided you will stay with Souji until the end and throw the camera away. Souji and the main character quietly get married. Some time later, Souji is on the verge of dying and you try to keep him... from slipping away... He says "I'm listening" while you try to keep him from closing his eyes. I cried a whole lot here. The screen goes black. And that's where the story ends.
  • Tsuki: The main character is serving sake to one of the customers, who is supposed to be a famous inventor who probably made the time-turning camera thing. Apparently he hasn't made such a thing yet, but he says he will give a gift instead. I ask for medicine that would be helpful for tuberculosis and give that medicine to Souji. Time passes, and me and Souji are living together. He is on the verge of dying, when Shota comes by with the camera. I beg Souji to come with me to the future. I cried here, too. He doesn't want to leave me alone (BAKA! You only realized that NOW??? TT_TT) and agrees to come with me. Souji and Shota both come with me to the future, and here's the thing: each time you return to the future, time is turned back to when you were first sent back to the past. So Souji's disease is back to the early stages. I take him to the hospital real fast and he lives. HE LIVES. YAY. FINALLY, after THREE ENDINGS of me seeing him DIE. And he goes on a trip to Kyoto to see how it is now. When he returns, he asks: "Can I make you mine tonight?" *blush* why of course! BAKA!! (I'm becoming tsundere. Wow.)
  • Yui: Souji is on the verge of dying and he shoots the camera at me just like in the Kagami ending. But this time, I pray and pray and pray and instead, I'm sent back to before the Ikedaya incident, when Souji's disease was still at its early stages. I tell Souji everything that has happened, and that I don't want to see him regret anymore (since he couldn't do anything in the end when the Shinsengumi was being defeated over and over again). He finally agrees to go on a break from the Shinsengumi. His first fight is the Ikedaya incident, but this time, thanks to having rested and having kept his immune system strong, he does not cough up blood or anything. Afterwards, Souji and I get married... and he says: "Whatever happens in the future from now on, don't go back in time again. I can now spend my whole life with you; I will have no regrets. And I will make sure that you don't have any regrets, either." And his words of love..... sooooo sweet........
So, if I were to rank the endings, I'd say I like Yui, Tsuki, and Hana equally. Mizu and Kagami are just WAAAAAAY TOO CRUEL to my heart. I mean, don't just make him die like that... I know that's history, but still... Look at the Hana ending!! *sniff*
  • I like Yui because of the wedding and because of how the main character gets sent back once more... and the main character realizes that, by fate, destiny's telling me: "make Souji HAPPY." Only drawback is I want MORE. I want to see what eventually happened. Although I do think that they were able to be happy. I would suppose that since the end of the Shinsengumi was so fast, after it all ended, Okita and the main character resigned to a quiet life (and everyone thought Okita was dead) just like in Hakuouki.
  • I like Tsuki because of how Okita came with me to the future, which is quite interesting in its own right. Reminds me of Shinobi Life. And it's like I have a secret all to myself..... I also like how Okita realizes he can't leave you and die... I do wonder what he got as a job in the future though. From my preference, I would say he became a PROFESSIONAL KENDO PLAYER!!!! He'd pwn EVERYONE. He'd become the best EVER.
  • I like Hana because of the reincarnation theme. The red strings of fate. This time, I can be happy. I am the girl who stayed with Souji until the end in his past life. And now we can spend a whole lifetime together... Just like how I had wished... And it's just even better when he says the SAME WORDS that he said to you in his past life. Even better, you still have the gift he gave to you in his past life. So romantic. But like, I can't help thinking that the main character most likely met a reincarnated version of Souji in both the Kagami and Mizu endings LOL just my imagination.

Yeah. So that's my review on this game. The story itself was truly beautiful. You actually get pangs in your heart every time Souji pushes you away, saying that unhappiness doesn't suit you......... and then he comes over to save you during the great Kyoto fire and says that he can't stand it anymore, he wants to protect you with his own hands.

I just felt like I was reading this really touching historical romance novel all throughout the game. Only drawback is that there is NO MUSIC and NO VOICE. But on the other hand you can imagine the voice and turn on background music that you think will suit the scene (I had the Shinsengumi Wasurenagusa theme on a LOT). If you guys understand Japanese and you like games like Hakuouki, you should really try this one.

Review on "Sephirot" (still ongoing, probably will play forever LOL)

Okay. So Sephirot is this online RPG game, and you can download it from the App Store.
My iTunes account is Japanese, and if you guys want to play this game, you'd better get an iTunes Japan account, too, unless you are confident that you can be satisfied with just playing it free (the application is available for free download).

So, in this game, you basically need to keep the World Tree growing by gathering "Sephiras", which can be gotten when you kill monsters/bosses, or from special weekly events.
  • Monsters: are randomly encountered during exploration
  • Bosses: are met at the very end of each area
You need "partners" for this, which are cards that have Otomate characters on them. While exploring, the character on the card you select as your leader speaks to you with lines that were in the original game. There are two ways to strengthen partners:
  • Strengthening: Use other partners and "leaves" to strengthen another partner. Leaves can be gotten from the World Tree, from defeating bosses, and from selling partners you possess.
  • Evolution: You can make a card evolve only if you have a card IDENTICAL to that card. This increases the card's maximum strength, and if the card is your leader, the words the leader speaks to you get sweeter and sweeter and sweeter as you make it evolve.
The cards are categorized into Normal, Normal+, Rare, Rare+, S-Rare, and SS-Rare. The rarer the card, the stronger it is, and the sweeter the words the partner speaks to you. Partners can be gotten via the following methods, which are mostly random (the ones in blue are the ones I purposefully got):
  • Exploration: Only gets you N or N+ partners. I usually just sell these to get leaves.
  • Sephirot's Pond: You can either pay to get partners from this OR get Hermes's Red Stones from weekly events. But here's the catch: if you pay, you get ONLY R and above. With the stones, you get about 95% N/N+ and 5% R and above. Partners change every week. There's about 100 R/R+ partners in the pond including one SR/SSR that you can choose from among several. If you keep pulling partners out from the pond, you are GUARANTEED to get that one SR/SSR. So, here, I got:
    • Saitou Hajime (R+)
    • Okita Souji (R+)
    • Ibuki Ryuunosuke (R+)
    • Serizawa Kamo (R)
    • Yamazaki Susumu (R)
    • Nagumo Shuu (R+)
    • Chitose (R+)
    • Noel, Bilal, Alvaro, Julius from Wand of Fortune (R)
    • Yuuichi from Hiiro no Kakera (R+)
The above partners were actually gotten just because I had nowhere to spend my Stones OR as byproducts of my attempts to get an SR and above Okita Souji.
If you want a fully evolved SR and are prepared to pay some bucks, this is the most unrandom way to get one. So, that's how I got my:
    • Okita Souji (SR), who is my leader partner. He has evolved 5 times and is at his maximum strength. ♥♥♥♥♥
  • Rare Bingo: I'm just calling it Bingo because I don't know what else to call it. You can either pay to get partners from this OR you can get Premium tickets from special events. Here, I got:
    • Harada Sanosuke (SR)
    • Kazutake (R)
    • some guy from the 4th Hiiro no Kakera (R)
    • Onizaki Takuma and Mahiro-senpai (R)
    • Est from Wand of Fortune (SR and R)
    • Mordred from Princess Arthur (R)
    • Matthias from Moujutsukai to Ouji-sama (R+)
    • Alvaro (R+)
  • Normal Bingo: You can get up to R partners from this bingo, which can be used free once every day PLUS once every lunchtime (11:30~12:30 pm Japan time). In addition, by saying hello to other users and completing tasks in special events, you can get "Hearts" which can be used for this Bingo.
  • Selected Bonds: By offering these to a few select 'dormant' cards (from Hakuouki, Toki no Kizuna, Urakata Hakuouki, and Nise no Chigiri) you can get R/R+ partners. These 'bonds' can be collected when you defeat monsters. Here are the partners I chose to get from this system:
    • Hakuouki: Okita Souji
    • Urakata Hakuouki: Okada Izou, Takasugi Shinsaku, Katsura Kogorou (I may also get Glover but I haven't decided yet)
    • Toki no Kizuna: Kazuya (I may also get Shin but I haven't decided yet), Suzumori Yukina
  • Special Bingo Packs: Sometimes you can purchase packs that contain R and above cards pertaining to one particular game (ex: Hakuouki pack). This is where I got:
    • Kazama Chikage (SR)
    • Okita Souji (SR)
    • Okita Souji (R+, three kinds)
    • Yamazaki Susumu (R+)
    • Toudou Heisuke (SR)
    • Saitou Hajime (SR, two kinds)
    • Saitou Hajime (R+)
    • Ibuki Ryuunosuke (R+)
    • Nagakura Shinpachi (R+)
    • Serizawa Kamo (R)
  • From collecting hidden treasures during explorations (you can only get heroines from this, though)
    • Yukimura Chizuru (R)
    • Tiana (R)
    • Lulu (R)
  • From a high rank in a weekly event; this is how I got:
    • all my NORN9 cards, (R+) (just because the NORN9 event was the first event I ever took part in)
Yeah, I guess I left out smaller details but that's about it. The opening animation of the game is pretty cool. Weekly special events are themed after one of Otomate's games; this week's event is on Hakuouki SSL.

N/N+ partners' quotes NEVER change, even if you make them evolve. And they're incredibly weak, so you really do need R and above partners if you want to keep clearing areas.
So... Some people are just happy with R partners, some people want SSR partners. I'm happy with a fully evolved SR.

So, the hardest part of this game is actually getting the partner you want to say sweet, sweet quotes to you. You NEED an R or above for this. I actually was unsatisfied with either R/R+ (these two say the same things); that's why I wanted a fully evolved SR.
  • If you are happy with a fully evolved R/R+ partner, you can just use the Selected Bonds method (the safest, most certain method!) or try and get a high rank in a weekly event. Another alternative would be to use Sephirot's Pond, but you might have to use a few bucks to get the number of identical partners you need in the allotted time. The Normal Bingo is really useless, though. During my Sephirot lifetime, I only got TWO R partners from that Bingo thing, out of, what, HUNDREDS of turns.
  • If you want a fully evolved SR partner and have some bucks on you...
    • Let me tell you that USING THE RARE BINGO OR SPECIAL BINGO PACKS IS A VEEEEEEERY BAD IDEA. You will use hundreds of dollars and never get your partner to fully evolve, unless you are VERY VERY LUCKY. I was lucky with Kazama; I got him to evolve 4 times (his maximum is 5 times). But I really wanted Souji, and I spent a lot of money in these Special Packs and only got him to evolve ONCE. The Rare Bingo is even WORSE. Special Packs, at least, give you cards from a game you are interested in. The Rare Bingo gives you a bunch of cards whose characters you don't even know. The probability of you getting a card that is identical to one you already have is EVEN LOWER, and you will, alas, end up spending a lot of $$ and never getting a fully evolved SR partner. SO what works?
    • Use SEPHIROT'S POND. SR cards can evolve 5 times. And if you are diligent enough in weekly events, you can decrease, FOR FREE, the number of R/R+ cards in the pond by about 20 in a day - up to half in a few days. This increases your chances of getting that SR when you actually use money to get the rest of the unwanted R partners out of the way. By using this method, I somehow got my SR Okita Souji. I used, like, 4-months worth of allowance, though (about 80000yen?). :P Oh well, I'm not gonna spend any more, so I guess it's OK haha.
The game itself is quite fun, so give it a try!

Japan trip! + Hakuouki Gekijouban 2 "Shikon Soukyuu" Review

Hi everyone,

I just got back from my trip to Japan!

1) Anime Japan 2014
  • I cosplayed as Yukimura Chizuru, with that cream-colored flowery kimono she wears in Souji's ending.
  • LOOT: KyaraPeta (reusable stickers) of Souji and Chizuru, clear files with the Shinsengumi guys, decks of cards themed Hakuouki and Toki no Kizuna

2) Otomate Chara Pop Store (at the PARCO dept store in Shibuya)
 - LOOT: 2 Hakuouki notebooks, 1 sketchbook, 1 Otomate artbook, Souji postcard

3) got my copy of OUTSIDER at Tower Records
... However, due to an important exam next Friday, I'll probably upload lyrics next weekend. (T_T)

4) went shopping in Shibuya & Harajuku
 - LOOT: Liz Lisa white blouse and purple floral skirt

5) watched the second Hakuouki movie, Shikon Soukyuu... cried a WHOLE LOT
Ooooookay. So here is my review on this. INCLUDES SPOILERS
  • As in the anime version, Saitou and Shinpachi were never shown to have died, which is accurate. I would not have accepted any other ending for these guys.
  • It was a HAPPY ENDING. For once. That is in itself quite satisfactory. Neither Hijikata nor Kazama died. And I think it was a good thing that when Kazama dubbed Hijikata an "oni", his eyes actually turned gold, like a real oni, implying that perhaps he really has become one
  • Beautiful music. Doesn't even compare with the first movie, even though I liked the first movie's music. Beautiful theme song, too.
  • Artwork is also beautiful, and the animation is flawless.
  • Flow of the story is very fast.
  • Acting is also flawless.
  • I do wish that, as in the anime, Okita-san could have had more interaction with Chizuru. I prefer the anime version Souji. Just because he thought more about Chizuru (the scene where he was looking at a little girl and saw Chizuru's face there) and because he died to save Hijikata and Chizuru. It's a better... Lovey-doveyer end. And it has more impact. This is actually my biggest complaint for this movie. There is so little interaction between Souji and Chizuru, even though it wasn't like that in the anime. I was wishing at least they would show Souji liked Chizuru (-_-)
  • They made Saitou drink the Ochimizu, which stays true to the game. Not bad.
  • I liked how they made Harada throw away the Ochimizu. Gives a nice emphasis on his character and whatnot.
  • I liked the portrayal of Kazama. He was a very attractive character, especially in his hugging of Chizuru as well as his final 'letting go' so that Chizuru and Hijikata can be happy together.
  • It was a really good idea that they showed Ryuunosuke living with Kosuzu, since it is a couple I support. They look very cute together.
  • I still wish they could have made me a Souji-route anime. Please.
  • At least Hijikata's my second-favorite guy.
  • random: I support Kazama X Sen-hime. PUREBLOOD ONI YAY
  • To sum up I like the cinema version for its happy ending and the portrayal of Kazama but I F*CKIN HATE how they cut out all of my beloved's beeeeaaaauutiful scenes... well I guess Saitou didn't have much interaction with Chizuru either... It was more Harada and Toudou who got to actually talk to the girl. ARE THEY TRYING TO CUT OUT SCENES WITH THE MORE POPULAR CHARACTERS (Hijikata is main guy so he's an exception even though he's popular) TO MAKE LESS POPULAR ONES MORE POPULAR??
  • It may have been a good idea to show a short epilogue with Hijikata being sexy and cute to Chizuru and vice versa.

6) more LOOT
  • Hakuouki Kyoukaroku (PSV version)
    • I was originally not going to buy this BUT I was told there's a new scene in this version so I just bought it
  • iTunes Japan gift cards (20000JPY worth): used it all up to get 5 SR Okita Souji cards in Sephirot. LOL
    • This game is just such a rip-off but so addictive. I will upload a post about this later on.
  • a pair of tabi (traditional Japanese socks) with Mt. Fuji drawn on them
  • picked up my personally ordered Souji-themed earrings and necklace from Shinjuku Marui Annex
  • A Japanese Windows OS so that I can FINALLY play Ken Ga Kimi.

And I just received notice that my Hakuouki SSL software will be shipped within two hours. I guess I'll get it in a few days. (^o^)
OTOMATE is getting very active these days in making new games (@.@)
I'll upload a post about those games when I get the time.

Shikisai (Colouring of Four Seasons) by Tegomass (lyrics, romaji, translation)

四季彩よ 時代の色
shikisai yo toki no iro
Colouring of four seasons, colour of the era

濁れども 強く

nigore domo tsuyoku
Even as it becomes clouded, vibrantly...

何時の日も 風舞うままに
itsu no hi mo kaze mau mama ni

Every day, just as the wind dances

呼ぼう 愛の名を
yobou ai no na wo
The name of love, let us call it

四季彩よ 時代の音
shikisai yo toki no oto
Colouring of four seasons, sound of the era

騒げども 密やかに
sawage domo hisoyaka ni
Even as it makes noise, secretly...

何時の世も 行方を知らぬ
itsu no yo mo yukue wo shiranu
In any world of any time, the song of love
愛の歌 奏でよう
ai no uta kanadeyou
That knows not where to go, let us play it

Tegoshi is one of my favorite idols (^_^)
I wish Tegomass would do more of these Japanese-sounding songs...
Although I also like their cute ones!

Hakuouki Movie 1: Kyoto Ranbu Review

MY BISHIES ARE BACK!!!

Enough with the shrieking.
Beautiful art, though perhaps not as good as the game's.
What I really liked about the art in this one is how the background's colors change when Oni/Rasetsu are fighting.
It gives off an air of fantasy/supernatural stuff/Asian legends/traditional Japanese art.

Moving/touching theme song (Yoshioka Aika's Kurenai no Ito) also is a good thing.

But... Let's just say that, before seeing the trailer,
I had a teeeeeny tiiiiiiiny eeny meeny miny moe pinch of hope
That the movie would be done on Souji's route. Oh well.
That goes down the drain. At least Hijikata's my second favorite.

Okita-san.
Okita-san Okita-san Okita-san Okita-san

Sorry. Well, the movie was satisfactory, with cool music and all.
I especially liked how they remade the scene where Chizuru first meets Hijikata.
The sound of that shinobue...........................mmm..................

Anyways, this movie's more like a tribute to Hijikata's route.
Some minor changes to the original plot are made to make Hijikata's route more prominent.
So fans of other routes should not expect their fave bishie to come up more or anything...

I must also say, I like how, during battles, the bishies' costumes were altered to make the battles seem more realistic (adding armor, using pants *coughSaitocough*, leg bandages, etc.)

New Trailer for Hakuouki Movie (Gekijouban) 2

I watched the first movie a few days ago...
And fell in love with the anime all over again
Not to mention the beautiful beautiful game.

And the trailer for the second movie,
Which will be released in Japanese theaters on March 8th,
IS HERE:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfK1Htx0vrQ

OMGOMGOMG look at the art!!

& what is this beautiful music? (>_<)
Okay, so it's "Soukyuu no Hata" by Yoshioka Aika.
And guess what? The full version is even better.
It's as good as "Kurenai no Ito".
You are so awesome, Yoshioka-san.
Seriously, her songs are among my favorite songs from female artists.
I also like Kurosaki Maon and Mizuki Nana (^_^)

Anyways I got really giddy when my Mom told me my singing voice is similar to Yoshioka-san's. LOL

Ah, the Hakuouki feels all coming back.......*sniff*

Souji-san, I love you.
As I did in my past life 150 years ago,
As I do now, as I will forever.

OTOMATE - NEW GAMES YAY

OK.

So today I visited www.otomate.jp and WOW

1. They're making an URAKATA HAKUOUKI FANDISC. Oh my dear dear Okada Kenshin Izou. I will get to meet you again.
http://www.otomate.jp/hakuoki/urakata/akatsuki/

2. They'll release a MOBILE VERSION of HAKUOUKI with NEW CGs!!! How good can this get? And SSL isn't even out yet (I've already preordered my software for SSL haha). Well, Souji is my husband and will forever be my love... heehee
http://www.otomate.jp/smp/hakuoki/

3. Apparently they're making a (maybe European-themed) new game called Reine des Fleurs (Queen of the Flowers in French). And I still haven't decided whether I should buy the software for Wand of Fortune and Moujutsukai to Ouji-sama...
http://www.otomate.jp/reinedesfleurs/

P/S: For those of you who haven't seen it yet here's the page for Hakuouki SSL:
http://www.otomate.jp/hakuoki/ssl/

I'm dying for the Jyuzaengi anime (even though I never did the game). I love the artist who draws for that game. The only reason I didn't play the game, though, is that I prefer games set in historical Japan or a fantasy world...

I still can't get over the fact that the Hakuouki anime was made with Hijikata-san's route... I wish it were Souji's route... Although I guess it can't be helped since he's pretty much the last one to fight for the Shinsengumi. Well, at least it wasn't Harada-san or Saitou-san (just a matter of preference).

And that game coming out in April, called Chronostacia, should I reconsider it or no? Hmm...

I wonder if I should go to this year's AnimeJapan 2014. If I go I better cosplay, but I still haven't decided who I should cosplay as... Chizuru again (different version)?

SID "hug" lyrics, romaji, translation

もう少し聞かせて 君のことを
mou sukoshi kikasete kimi no koto wo
Tell me a little more about yourself

知らない君が 多すぎるから
shiranai kimi ga oosugiru kara
For there is so much about you I don't know

こんな気持ち 本当 初めてなんだ
konna kimochi hontou hajimete nanda
It is truly the first time I have such feelings

懐かしいけど 初めてなんだ
natsukashii kedo hajimete nanda
It does feel nostalgic but it is my first time

流れてく風景に 口数は 決して多くない
nagareteku fuukei ni kuchikazu wa kesshite ooku nai
As the scenery flows by, the words spoken are not at all many

心地よくもあり 揺られて こぼす 告白
kokochi yoku mo ari yurarete kobosu kokuhaku
As it also feels pleasant, a swaying confession is revealed

陽だまりの匂いで 包み込む それしか出来ないけど
hidamari no nioi de tsutsumi komu sore shika dekinai kedo
I embrace you with the scent of the sunshine, that is all I can do

温もりは絶やさず 君の日々を 彩るから
nukumori wa tayasazu kimi no hibi wo irodoru kara
But the warmth will endlessly color your days, so...

この星に生まれた いくつもの
kono hoshi ni umareta ikutsu mo no
The countless marks born on this star
(I think the "marks" mean people/meetings/events/memories)

点はすれ違い 消えて また滲む
ten wa sure chigai kiete mata nijimu
Pass by, disappear, then blur into each other again

そうやって僕たちは たぐり寄せ 線になるんだ
sou yatte boku tachi wa taguri yose sen ni narunda
Like that, we are pulled in and become a line

悪くないだろう どこまでもずっと 真っ直ぐ
waruku nai darou doko made mo zutto massugu
It isn't too bad, is it? To anywhere, forever, heading straight ahead...

短いキスのあと 迷ってた 君を 強く 弱く
mijikai kisu no ato mayotteta kimi wo tsuyoku yowaku
Strongly, weakly, to you who were hesitating after a short kiss

強引に始めよう 後悔だけはしたくないから
gouin ni hajimeyou koukai dake wa shitaku nai kara
I'll push us into a new start, since I wish to at least have no regrets
(from the nuances I'd say he's talking about a new relationship)

陽だまりの匂いで 包み込む それしか出来ないけど
hidamari no nioi de tsutsumi komu sore shika dekinai kedo
I embrace you with the scent of the sunshine, that is all I can do

温もりは絶やさず 君の日々を
nukumori wa tayasazu kimi no hibi wo
But the warmth will, endlessly, to your days...

短いキスのあと 迷ってた 君を 強く 強く
mijikai kisu no ato mayotteta kimi wo tsuyoku tsuyoku
Strongly, strongly, to you who were hesitating after a short kiss

強引に始めよう 後悔だけはしたくないから
gouin ni hajimeyou koukai dake wa shitaku nai kara
I'll push us into a new start, since I wish to at least have no regrets

Yes, I got Mao's version!!
SID is one of my fave bands and Mao is my fave member...
('cause I love his lyrics and his looks and his voice and his acting on stage!)
This song is very calming, it cheers you up, so it is definitely a must-have.
Happy Valentine's Day♥

Mizuki Nana - Avalon no Oukan (The Crown of Avalon) Lyrics, Romaji, Translation

Had this done a month ago and forgot to publish it!

がまだ天使だったからわれた
hito ga mada tenshi datta koro kara utawareta
A tale sung since the era when men were still angels

銀世界に降り立つメサイア
ginsekai ni oritatsu mesaia
About the Messiah that descends and stands on a silver world

何万年の愛のリライト 散らないで
nanmannen no ai no reraito chiranaide
The rewrite of a love of tens of thousands of years - do not fall

をすりける 生命(いのち)のテイル

te wo surinukeru inochi no teiru
The tale of life that slips out of these hands

それでも何かが 胸を打つよ

soredemo nanika ga mune wo utsu yo
And yet, something beats against the heart

希望かく 一直線
kibou wa atatakaku icchokusen ni
With warmth, in a straight line,

宣誓
tooku tooku wakitatsu hikari e sensei wo
Faraway, faraway, to the storm of light, hope sends an oath

さあつのだGuardian があるのだから

saa tatsu no da guardian negau yume ga aru no dakara
Now, you must stand, Guardian; for you have a dream that you wish for

反逆えるか? のアヴァロン
hangyaku no saki mieru ka eikou no avaron
At the end of rebellion, do you see it? The glorious Avalon

王冠はいらない 小さな花があればいい
oukan wa iranai chiisana hana ga areba ii
I need no crown, as long as there is a small flower

まれよたに
umare yo arata ni kaori takaku
Be born again, with a sweet scent

sakihokore
Bloom splendidly

ゼロ距離へと近づくほど何故か運命は
zero kyori e to chikazuku hodo naze ka unmei wa
As the distance nears zero, for some reason

反比例してサヨナラを

hanpirei shite sayonara wo matsu

Fate seems to wait for farewell more and more

微笑眼差しの一瞬
hohemi kaesu manazashi no isshun ga
As if the single moment of the gaze as we share a smile

一生分ものキスのように
isshoubun mono kisu no you ni
Is equivalent to the kisses of a lifetime

銀河分の2を僕らは出

ginga bun no ni wo bokura wa deai
The two of us meet as many times as the stars in a galaxy

何度目のして承になる?
nandome no koi shite denshou ni naru
How many times should we love and become a legend passed down?

さあこの物語結末まっすぐ

saa kono monogatari no ketsumatsu wo massugu miyo
Now, let us see for ourselves the end of this story

絶世に光る七色の虹の丘で

zessei ni hikaru nanairo no niji no oka de
On the hill at the edge of the world where a rainbow of seven colors sparkles

いっぱいにげてにならないか?
ryoute ippai ni hirogete kaze ni naranai ka
Why don't we spread both arms wide and become the wind?

王冠はいらない 君さえいてくれるなら
oukan wa iranai kimi sae ite kureru nara
I need no crown, as long as you are with me

指先うよ 何より
yubisaki tsutau yo nani yori tsuyoi
Flowing along these fingertips, there is a bond

だからすべてをごう
kizuna dakara subete wo sasagou
Stronger than anything, so let us dedicate everything

とは?自由とは?えとは?

ai to wa jiyuu to wa kotae to wa
What is love? What is freedom? What is the answer?

終わり無き旅よ 嗚呼往こうか天へ
owari naki tabi yo aa yukou haruka ten e
Ah, an unending voyage... Let us go, to the distant sky

さあつのだGuardian があるのだから

saa tatsu no da guardian mamoru yume ga aru no dakara
Now, you must stand, Guardian; for you have a dream to protect

反逆えるか? のアヴァロン
hangyaku no saki mieru ka eikou no avaron
At the end of rebellion, do you see it? The glorious Avalon

王冠はいらない 誇りさえあればいい
oukan wa iranai hokori sae areba ii
I need no crown, as long as pride is preserved

原初ろう 英雄
gensho ni kaerou eiyuu no uta
Let us go back to the beginning; the hero's poem

永久にあれ
towa ni are
Let it be there forever
